Computer Controlled Orchestra

Inspired by the animated music video Pipe Dream by Animusic, Intel Embedded Computing engineers teamed up with Austin-based Sisu to turn that animation into a real computerized paint ball orchestra. The Intel Industrial Control in Concert piece was unveiled at the Intel Developer Forum in September 2011. Built with seven Intel Atom processors, running three different operating systems, security camera system, sensors, touchscreen and other technologies, the project was completed in just 90 days at a cost of about 0000.

They just gotta make the damn thing a bit quieter when firing… and maybe find a way to recapture the balls.
But I’m definitely not playing against these guys in paintball. XD
dear santa
@joshua87901 There are Intel processors inside each Mac. This could have very easily been done on a mac.
Gosto muito de musica eletronica mas desse jeito nunca tinha vista valeu foi d+.
@joshua87901 just so that you know, intel manufactures computer parts where as mac is just assembled systems. mac doesnt make its own processors or motherboards.
Do Starship Groove next!
Do Gyro Drums! Do Gyro Drums!
mill studio music machine. Don’t you think?
Awesome
@auger5433 That is the question…
Go Marc and Russ at Sisu devices!
but will it blend?
Let’s see your mac do that..
Wow It away some…………..
dajcie mi 160000$ i 90 dni a zrobie wam coś ciekawszego:P
Intel must have had fun proving Snopes wrong, for a change. “This device does not exist, at the university of Iowa or anywhere else.” HA!
wow this is close to Animusic’s Pipe Dream
Skynet, que the music…
cool idea to do it in real life down side is the sound from when it shoots the balls, you cant really hear that much except that sound all the time
LOL @ guy at the end.. “That’s all it does??”
how does it work?
With the money they spent in here I would better buy a xbox and play guitar hero, and and I even would have money more than enough for pizza hehe
When i saw animusic i though that was almost impossible to create that kind of equipament… Good job Intel =)
silencers needed
silencers needed
profecional piopol
haha fucking idiot.
Quick question can someone tell me which one you find better, VDJ or Traktor? Cause I hear good things from both..
can you use the ddj-t1 with a traktor kontrol k1 or maschine?
does this also have an “slip” mode like the ddj-s1?
@rehabmunkey really? I’ll buy it for that. how much did u use it?
@NS69GTR The DDJ T1 standard software comes with 6 fx but you can upgrade the traktor software to traktor pro 2 for around $100 and you get over 30 different fx and some other awesome new features like sample decks. In my opinion the DDJ T1 is better because it’s cheaper, four channels, better software and more professional.
@NS69GTR the t1 offers a few effects that are pretty good for beat mixing and the jog wheels are very responsive if your into scratching. I use an 800 with 1000s and tech 1200s but I will be buying one of these for playing bars and smaller gigs with as Id like to have my “home setup” home at all times rather than breaking down gear and setting back up all the time. I tested one of these out and liked it allot. I haven’t had the chance with the s1 though
@pioneerdjglobal i am confuse because i am stuck between choosing t1 4 channel mixer and s1 2 channel mixer although the s1 features fx >:( what would you guys go with or does the t1 offer a large varieties of fx’s
His english is fucked up
@ZGraFx LOL
@ZGraFx Yea its a 4 deck mixer you cunt. So have fun mixing only 2 decks with Virtual DJ. and no controller. ahhh =/
that laser at 1:40 is so epic
People with the latest System on Mac Pro cant update to the second edition of the DDJ t1 software….why? idk yet…i hope Pioneer and Traktor fix this problem…! if somebody knows how…please let me know… I have a mac OS X version 10.7.2
@rehabmunkey hey man im trying to sell my cdj’s at the moment to get one of these can you email me the details im from victoria chase-boss@live.com.au
I own the DDJ T1 and I have to say its an epic piece of equipment perfect for both pro’s and beginners. I have used cdj’s and turntables but I think I’m more a tables man its just my preference. Anyway if there are any Aussies out there that are interested in buying a DDJ T1 message me and ill put mine on ebay for pretty cheap around $700 – $800. XD
It’s like Visualdiscomix in 1995!!!!
why no booth output???? why didn’t you make it a full stand-alone mixer in addition to being a controller?? denon has you beat. as-is the DDJ-T1 is only good for home practice use, or on wedding gigs when you’re the only dj. how could you use this in a club? seriously
@niels0027 I think Santa is going to keep this gift.
y yo
Vengo de EDDisplay!!
@lokylok204 oh, ok that makes ALOT more since
@TheEpicDjGAMER wasn’t a CDJ, it’s a type of drum machine/sampler
i dont care about the fx as long as the faders and eq’s r working properly
say hello to my little friend!!
Dear Santa..
